Grants

Capital Requests

Capital Requests are intended for nonprofit organizations that seek funding to purchase or construct a new facility, renovate or add to a current facility, or purchase equipment with an expected useful life of at least 10 years. Capital Requests generally coincide with a large scale capital campaign.

  • As a general rule, capital grants do not exceed 20% of the total capital campaign goal.
  • Capital grants do not exceed three year payment schedules.
  • No more than 50% of available capital funds is awarded to one organization in a given year.
  • For construction or renovation projects, funds are not released until building permits are approved.

If your nonprofit organization requires capital for a small project (i.e. office equipment, roof, security system, siding, etc.) you may apply through the Community Grant Program fall and spring grantmaking cycle.

  2. The Community Foundation may request a formal presentation from the applicant.
