Scholarships for Students

If you are a high school senior or adult who lives in Upstate New York or Northern Pennsylvania you may be eligible for a scholarship from the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes. The applications and information on these pages are updated on an annual basis in October.

Individuals, families and companies have established funds at the foundation for educational scholarships so that deserving neighbors can attend college or acquire job skills.

High School Seniors

We recommend that you work with your guidance counselor to find the best scholarship for you. Your guidance counselor has a list of all the scholarship opportunities and applications offered by the Community Foundation in your area.

Guidance Counselors

Scholarship information and applications are sent out at the end of October to each guidance counselor in the Community Foundation catchment area. You may download a full list of scholarships - scholarshipdescriptions.pdf available at the Community Foundation.

For more information or assistance contact Nancy Van Fleet at the Community Foundation office at nvf@communityfund.org or 739-3900.

Adults

The Community Foundation offers scholarships for adults seeking further education as non-traditional students, vocational students, early childhood educators and more.
